Charters and Permits

General

Yes all customers, regardless of payment method must register to avail of our service and have an up to date Mulleady’s bin identifcation attached to each bin presented for collection.
Yes, please contact us and we will organise this for you.

Stolen Bins

We would ask you to contact the Gardai and report the theft of your bin. Customers are liable to cover the cost of lost or stolen bins while in their procession. A replacement bin will then be delivered. If your Wheelie Bin is stolen repeatedly one of our representatives will call to your home to review your arrangements.

Payments

Changing Address

We require written notice of change of address, and we will need sufficient time to issue you with new Wheelie Bin identification labels with the correct address (minimum of 10 working days). You can take your Wheelie Bins to your new address yourself and we will post out the new labels. Wheelie Bins will only be collected from the address indicated on the label.
We require written notification of cancellation of service. Your account will then be closed and a statement of any outstanding amounts will be issued. Customers are liable for any collections provided at their address after they have moved if they have failed to cancel the service. Refunds (if due) will only be issued if proper notification has been received and we have recovered our Wheelie Bins.

Service Cancellation

We require written notification of cancellation of service. Your account will then be closed and a statement of any outstanding amounts will be issued. Refunds (if due) will only be issued if proper notification has been received and we have recovered our Wheelie Bins. Bins must be empty when collected. Bins which have waste inside will be subject to full disposal charge.

Wheelie Bin Collection

Please present your bin before 6am on your collection day. We cannot guarantee a fixed/specific time each week as times often vary due to circumstances beyond our control.
Yes, there is a once off rental charge to cover the costs of providing bins for the duration of the service. There is also a charge to replace existing bins which get damaged or need replacing for some reason. Please contact our office for further information.
If your bin hasn’t been emptied please first check if:

  • The correct bin was left out for collection

  • The bin was out on time. We recommend that all bins are left out for collection before 6am as we cannot guarantee that they will be emptied at the same time every week. Collection times often vary due to circumstances beyond our control.

  • Your account was paid up to date/had sufficient credit

  • The correct items were placed in your Wheelie Bins.

  • Was your recycling bin contaminated with any non-recyclables?

  • Was there any clinical or hazardous waste in your waste bin?

  • The Wheelie Bin was too heavy. A Wheelie Bin is considered too heavy if it is difficult for one person to move. If this is the case the Wheelie Bin cannot be serviced, as it presents a serious risk to the safety of our staff and to the public in general, as it could fall off the lifting mechanism and seriously injure someone. There is also the risk that a Wheelie Bin could fall into the back of the truck and a replacement Wheelie Bin would need to be issued at the expense of the customer.

If none of the above applies then please contact us and we will investigate the matter further.
  • Although your payment may have been received or authorised it still needs to be updated to the collection vehicles and this can take a number of hours.
No, the Wheelie Bin will not be serviced until the next scheduled collection date for that given waste type.

Wheelie bins should be left out at the edge of the kerb/road in a visible and safe place, not on the path/driveway of the house.

The handles of the bin should be pointing towards the road.

Please ensure our collection vehicles have safe access and the bins are not blocked in or hidden behind vehicles etc.

Collection operatives will not enter private properties to take out bins unless otherwise agreed in advance in exceptional circumstances.

The use of the Wheelie Bin is the responsibility of the householder. Mulleady’s cannot monitor unauthorised depositing of waste. If this illegal dumping persists, you should contact your local litter warden who can investigate further.
No, Local Authority Bye Laws state that extra material alongside or on top of the bin is not permitted. The bin lid should also be securely closed. You may be subject to a fine from your Local Authority for material presented which is not inside of your designated bin.

    Glass Collection

Glass can be recycled for free at all local authority glass banks. For a list of glass banks in your area please contact your local authority.

    Skips

Out standard hire period is 3-4 working days. If you wish to keep your skip for longer than this period, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate you.
You can pay by debit or credit card. Payment must be made before delivery. If you order your skip online a member of team will contact you to confirm your order and you can make payment by phone.
Each skip has a max fill line indicated on the side. If the skip is filled beyond this point it cannot be collected for safety reasons and the driver will ask you to remove some material before the skip can be loaded. In general, you should give some thought as to how you will fill your skip. Larger items need to be placed carefully if you are to avoid creating unfilled spaces that stop you getting the most out of your skip.
